What is Char's therapy philosophy?
I believe in doing what's best and what works for the client, even if that means trying several options. My treatment paradigm is founded on the underlying components of speech production and motor learning principles. My therapy has morphed overtime based on experience, research study, and learning from others.
Does mentoring take a lot of extra work?
My goal is to help you work smarter not harder. To maximize our discussions and time together, I do ask you submit a couple 1-to-2 minute videos of your case(s), and provide essential background info, as well as therapy strategies you've done.
What is the price and how long are the sessions?
My fees are comparable to others in our field. A one-hour mentoring is $200. The discounted, and most beneficial to fully meeting your needs, is the three-hour package for $500. The first session (in the package) is typically an hour. In subsequent sessions, the length of time depends on your availability and needs. Sessions can be divided into smaller time-blocks--it's up to you!
Is there a limit on the age and types of clients we address?
My specialty is speech production--pretty much with all ages and populations. Although I did do language therapy for years and even taught language courses, my expertise is SPEECH. It's my passion!
